Hold for first 8 counts: Dance starts on right foot and is a 2 wall line dance. This dance was
choreographed with a "break" in it. The break is for the dancers to be able to hit the "Slide
Over And Let Me Drive" vocals in the song. The first section of the dance has 24 counts
which will repeat 4 times. Dancers will then break into 32 counts and will repeat the 32 counts twice.
 
HEEL, TOE, STEP HITCH, DIAGONALS, FACING FORWARD WALL
1-4  Touch R heel forward, touch R to back, step forward on R, hitch L
5-8  Touch L heel forward, touch L toe back, step forward on L, hitch R
1-2  Step forward and slightly to R with R, touch L next to R
3-4  Step back and slightly to L on L, touch R next to L
5-6  Step back and slightly R with R, touch L next to R
7-8  Step to L with L while doing 1/4 turn to L, brush R heel
 
WALK, WALK, HITCH, HITCH
1-4  Step forward on R, step forward on L, hitch R, hitch R
5-8  Step back on R, step back on L, stomp R foot next to L (no weight change),
  clap hands
Repeat first 24 counts again and end the 24 with the slide steps
 
Slide counts:
1-4  Step to R with R foot (1), slide L foot next to R (2-4)
5-6  Bump hips R, bump hips L
7-8  Body wave forward (bend knees slightly, roll body upward from
  knees to hips to stomach to shoulders to head - takes 2 counts)
 
Repeat first 24 counts again
Repeat first 24 counts again and end 2nd 24 with the slide counts
 
BREAK x12
 
RIGHT MONTEREY TURNS WITH KICK BALL CHANGES
1-4  Touch R toe out to R, turn 1/2 turn to R while bringing R foot next to L touch L toe
  to L side, bring L foot home and change weight
5&6  R kick ball change
7&8  R kick ball change (kick forward with R, step back on ball of right,
  left foot off floor and replace)
 
Repeat first 8 counts after the bread - monterey turns-kick ball
 
VINE R WITH STOMP- VINE L WITH STOMP
1-4  Step to R with R, step behind R with L, step to R with R, stomp L next to R
5-8  Step to L with L, step behind L with R, step to L with L, stomp R next to L
 
KICK FORWARD, TOUCH BACK
1-4  Step forward on R, kick L foot forward, step back on L, touch R toe back
5-8  Step forward on R, kick L foot forward, step L foot next to R while doing
  1/4 turn to L, stomp R next to L
 
Repeat same 32 counts again and end it with a double slide
 
1  Step to R with R
2-4  Slide L foot next to R
5-6  Bump hip to R, bump hip to L
7-8  Body wave (see description above)
Repeat slide again
 
Start dance over with first 24 counts
